The Wolf Cut is a versatile, modern haircut built on the contrast between a voluminous, dynamic top and a deliberately elongated, sleek bottom. The course demonstrates how to skillfully create this shape on fine and curly hair, showcasing the same technique using two different tools—scissors and a Chinese razor—to achieve completely different results in texture and lightness.

Sergiusz Pawlak guides you through the entire process of creating the shape, from the initial division into two sections—top and bottom—all the way to the final freehand dry blending of the two. At the top, you’ll see how to build a square plane with a transition to the previous section. Sergiusz deliberately cuts one half of the head with scissors and the other with a Chinese razor to demonstrate how the choice of tool affects the softness of the lines and the natural behavior of the hair.

In this course, you'll learn:

  • Working with two tools on a single head – how scissors and a Chinese knife change the final result of the same technique
  • Step-by-step guide to creating square shading with a cross-over to the previous section for maximum volume at the top
  • Just as a Chinese razor cuts the hair cuticle at an angle (like when sharpening a pencil) and encourages it to curl more tightly
  • Blending a voluminous top with a long bottom on dry hair using a freehand technique for full control over the proportions
  • Texturizing curly hair using the "brick" method (sharp, deep cuts) to achieve maximum movement and volume
  • Styling your bangs on dry hair to have full control over how they fall on your curls
  • How changing the length of the back can transform an entire hairstyle—from women’s styles to the men’s “London boy” look

After completing this course, you’ll be able to consciously use square layering to build volume and understand how choosing between scissors and a thinning razor affects the final result. You’ll learn to control the balance between a voluminous top and a light bottom, as well as seamlessly transform a single haircut into several commercial variations for different clients, in both women’s and men’s salons.
